BULLETIN Prepare monthly newsletter or assist the Editor by becoming a reporter, solicit advertisers, etc.  Open.
BUDGET Nancy O'Shea, CCLS is the Chairman
CCLS California Certified Legal Secretary.  Coordinate study group and assist members in preparation for the LSI administered exam.  Nancy O'Shea, CCLS is the Chairman
CORRESPONDING SECRETARY Corresponding Secretary sends and responds to correspondence on behalf of the organization, and fills in for Recording Secretary as necessary.  Linda Clark is Chairman  
DAY-IN-COURT Plan/coordinate program for members and the public to tour local court, or other related offices or institutions.  Carol Karwatt is the Chairman.
EMBLEM Mary L. King, CCLS, is the Chairman.
EMPLOYMENT Act as a clearing house for both members seeking employment and attorneys seeking qualified help.  Publish a listing each month in the newsletter.  Maria Hernandez, Chairman.
HISTORIAN Take photos of meetings and events, assemble a history book or scrap book to be presented to the SMCLSA outgoing president at the end of the fiscal year.  The Historian may also participate in the LSI history book contest at the LSI Annual Conference.  Donna Bottarini is the Chairman
INSTALLATION Carol Karwatt is Chairman, and past presidents are the committee.
HOLIDAY PARTY JoAnne Lein, Chairman
HOSPITALITY Membership Chairman conducts the annual membership drive with menu, prizes, entertainment, etc.  Also may volunteer to greet members and guests at the monthly dinner meetings.  JoAnne Lein is the Chairmen, and committee positions are open.
INTERCLUB Attend functions sponsored by our sister associations, organize a program in which our sister associations may participate, such as Day at the Races, a night at the theatre, etc. Carol Karwatt and Bonnie Stensler, PLS, CCLS.
LEGAL EDUCATION Plan/coordinate educational type programs which may be a fund raising event for the association.  Gina Kundert is the Chairman.
LEGAL PROCEDURES Inform members via a column in the web-newsletter of changes in the law or fees, etc., which impact our profession by collecting such information from reading the daily legal newspapers and forwarding information of interest to the Editor.  Diana Prisk, Chairman
MARKETING Disseminate information received from LSI, seek avenues for spreading the word about our organization.  Heather Ryan is the Chairman.
PARLIAMENTARIAN Advises the President and members on parliamentary procedures when requested.  Maintains Bylaws and Policy and Procedures, provides copies to new members, and updates to all members.  Lori Stumpf is chairman  
POT O' GOLD Ongoing fund raiser, prices (all donated) at monthly dinner meeting, solicit prizes from membership, vendors, etc., and conduct drawing.  Cynthia Woodman is the Chairman.
PROFESSIONAL LIAISON Volunteer to assist the local bar association in any activity where our members may be of service such as registration assistance at bar functions.  Carol Karwatt is the Chairman.
PROGRAM Plan/coordinate speakers and/or entertainment for monthly dinner meetings, or assist the Program Chairman.  Diana Prisk is the Chairman.
PUBLICITY Issue news release to the media regarding upcoming programs, providing contact information.  Open.
RESERVATIONS Make monthly dinner meeting arrangements, chooses menus, takes reservations, collects money, and provides names and e-mail addresses of guests to the newsletter editor and to membership chairman for follow-up.  Check members in/collect money due at meetings.  Jeanine Acosta is the Chairman.
ROSTER Doris Burke, Chairman.
SCHOLARSHIP/CAREER PROMOTION Promote our profession as a career opportunity, assist in sending notices to high schools and colleges regarding the scholarship programs of both SMCLSA and LSI, volunteer to speak at career day at the local schools.  Matt Dubuque is Chairman.
WAYS & MEANS Plan/organize/promote fund raising activities.  Carol Karwatt is the Chairman.
WEB MAVEN Mary L. King, CCLS is the Chairman.
